还贷能力系数是用来计算贷款人的还款能力的。是贷款本金与贷款者当月收入的比例。例如系数是0.4的话，月收入为4000元，应只能有偿还月贷款本金1600元的能力。
制定还贷能力系数，可以限制部分借款人因每月还款额占家庭收入比例过高而无力偿还产生逾期贷款的风险发生。
